How do our sessions work?

When you book one of our sessions, you’ll start by answering a few questions and uploading your CV. This helps us understand your background, your experience so far, and identify any areas where you might be falling short.

Question we will ask include:

  • Which university do you attend?
  • How many recruitment cycles have you actively participated in?
  • How far have you progressed in those processes?
  • Where do you feel you could improve and how are you going to do it
  • What area of finance are you interested in?

Using this information, we provide tailored feedback on where to focus your efforts, along with a clear set of actionable steps to help you progress and position yourself more effectively for a career in finance.

What can I do now to help build my tomorrow?

  1. Build Your CV - This is the first step you can take at no cost, and it’s a critical tool for interviews and networking events. A well-structured CV will set you up for success.
  2. Join LinkedIn - LinkedIn is the go-to professional platform for the finance community. Create a polished profile, connect with people you know or have met, and start building your network. Remember, LinkedIn is a professional platform—proofread your profile, check grammar, spell people’s names and firms correctly, and be mindful of what you post.
  3. Attend Careers Fairs - Most universities host careers fairs where firms share opportunities and insights. Find out which companies are attending, prepare a few thoughtful questions in advance, and use these events to learn more about available roles and other recruitment initiatives.
  4. Join Finance Societies - Most universities have finance or trading societies that host events with leading firms throughout the year. These groups are not only a great source of industry knowledge but also a chance to network with peers who have been through recruitment cycles or secured internships.
